I have the 4K stick model 3820R2. I also have three identical remotes and this happens with all of them.
When I adjust volume up or down with the Roku remote it almost always keeps going up and down on its own. It can vary from just a few steps up or down to 10 steps or more.
It's plugged into a Samsung TV and the volume works as it should with the Samsung remote.

To be clear, it's the volume level that is going up or down depending on what you pressed to begin with. It jumps in either direction depending on which you press and varies as to how far up or down it goes, but it doesn't stop when you first press it.
