Roku remote is doing wrong actions to tv after changing capacitor

My vizio roku remote and my brand new roku remote are doing the same thing. The arrow buttons only make a ding noise with nothing all the app buttons make a ding noise but nothing else the ok button not working at all only the volume and channel buttons work and the power button. I can't connect to my wifi because I can't move over or anything just up and down with the channel buttons.
