Roku Remote Frustration - I have a question

Why does my Roku remote continue running audio after the remote has turned off the tv?
This happens on the Premier rechargeable remote, and the older AA battery version of the remotes.
The battery version goes through two fresh AA batteries, regardless of brand, in less than a week.   With the high costs of batteries this is an added burden on customers.
Rechargeable remote lasts longer, but with the audio continuing after the tv has been shut off, the remote charge doesn’t last as long as it should.
I would love for the company to address this major design flaw.

If you mean the Private Listening feature continues after you turn off the TV, verify that you are pressing the Home button (to stop streaming and using bandwidth/data) before pressing the Power button to turn off the TV.

The Power and Volume buttons on a Roku remote are "TV controls".  They have no effect on the Roku device.

Pressing the Home button will return you to the Home Screen which should stop all streaming and all audio.
