Hey there! Frank0623
It appears your Roku remote has stopped controlling the power functions on your TV and soundbar. To get further info,
- When the Roku remote stops controlling power, does volume control also fail, or only power on/off?
- Does the issue occur if the Roku Ultra is connected directly to the TV instead of through the soundbar?
- When the remote fails, does it still control the Roku player itself (navigation, playback)?
- Have you re‑run the Roku remote setup (Settings > Remotes & devices > Set up remote for TV control) after the issue occurred?
Looking forward to your response!

Volume doesn’t fail, but I do notice that when I press the power button the LED light on the remote will pulse white. I did not try and connect the Roku player directly to the TV, and when I re-run the setup remote for TV control it will take a multiple tries to try and obtain a correct code- and most times it’s says paring is unsuccessful. Don’t know if it’s an issue having a Samsung soundbar and Samsung tv with codes getting confused to connect, like it’s trying to connect to both?

Thanks for the info! Frank0623
Let's try narrowing things even further!
How about we try testing with a smartphone: install the Roku mobile app and control the Roku over Wi‑Fi. If app control works reliably, the issue is remote/IR/CEC related, not Roku player networking.
Let us know what you find!

I can turn on my tv via Roku app by pressing the home button, but I do not see a power button to turn everything off? I can navigate through the Roku Home Screen on my phone

Any idea what the white pulsing light means when I hit the power button and nothing works?
