Roku Remote button problem

I have a fairly new TCL Roku TV, bought in 2020 for my office has less than 100 hours total use and all buttons except the power button on the remote work. To turn on the TV I have to hit one of the pre-mapped Hulu or Netflix type buttons at the bottom and I have to power it off with the button on the TV at the bottom or use the Roku app. Batteries make no difference and the remote has not had anything bad happen to it, it just sits on my desk barely touched. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue.

    Buttons on remotes fail, sometimes prematurely.  Try mashing it as hard as you can to see if you get a response.
