Roku live TV keeps randomly pausing/freezing

My RokuTV keeps randomly pausing for no reason mid-program while watching live antenna TV mode

This happens when using the live rewind feature on playback. So if I pause the live antenna TV for a bit and come back and watch it an hour later on rewind, about maybe an hour or so into it it randomly freezes. I have to press fast forward for it to work again.

I've been using this RokuTV and live pause for a few years and this just started happening in the last month or two.

I've already looked for solutions online and have already tried:

  • Completely unplugging and restarting tv
  • Settings > Power > restart 
  • Removing the flash drive stick and re-inserting.

Please , Roku provide an update and fix!!

    The USB stick may need replacement.  We use this feature on multiple TV's. One TV did this almost right away. Quite infuriating.  A new USB stick fixed it for me.

      I can't really buy a whole new flashdrive just to see if it might work
