roku express volume control

Just got a roku express stick ... it does not control volume on tv so I need 2 remotes. Do I have to get another Roku remote to control volume to use with the express stick?

    You want the current one, the RC-AL7R, its backordered under streamers on the roku site, but the same remote under Roku tv is still in stock:

    It is the same RC-AL7R that is listed under roku streamers. You can also go to walmart and get it for $19.88, or best buy for $29.99.

    The Express isn't considered a stick, Roku stick have the hdmi connector built-in. But yes you will need another remote, a wifi voice remote which are the only remotes with tv controls. But if the express is an older model like 3700 you will be out of luck, that model only takes IR remotes and not Wifi. So no tv volume.

      Ok lets assume that it is not a 3700 ... any recommendations on a remote?

    My new ultra said tv isn't compatible with roku remote, I pressed the pairing button under battery cover and then unplugged power on roku box, when it restarted I went to settings to pair to tv and it worked.

      You have to go through the procedure under Settings->Remotes & devices->Remotes->[voice remote]->Set up remote for TV control.
