Unable to get past the update screen could be very frustrating, and I completely understand that. No worries; I am here to assist.
Could you let me know what error message you're seeing on the screen when your Roku tries to install the update?
In the meantime, you may try to connect your Roku to a different internet connection, such as a Mobile Hotspot, to see if that'll do the trick.
