Roku express busted infinite loop

Got a Roku Xpress absolutely busted. We cannot activate it. Every time we try to activate it, it loads, and the activate screen just pops up again as if we haven’t activated it. This is the second Roku because we already exchanged the first one, thank you for helping

There are a couple of things people have reported worked when a setup fails to complete.

Easiest to try, so try this first: Restart your router, even if other devices have no trouble connecting. When your router has completed its startup, try repeating your Roku setup.

More involved: Repeat the setup by connecting to a different wifi network - perhaps via a wifi hotspot on your mobile phone or by taking it to a friend's house - and see if it will complete the setup. If successful, then redo the wifi connection to use your intended wifi network via Settings > Network > Set up connection.

I had the very same issue and I fixed it by connecting the power supply to the actual outlet.

Every time it was looping from Roku loading page to the wifi screen searching for connection I had it connected to the USB port from my TV, so the solution was to connect the power supply to the outlet.

Thanks so much for reporting your results.  So often we cast our attempts at help out into the void and never hear anything back.
