Roku Express 4K+ shows no signal

Turned on Roku and tv shows “no signal” had this issue back in March of this year. Tried many troubleshooting routes but nothing worked and then randomly it started working again.
Checked all HDMI connections, switched to different port on tv. Plugged into wall outlet and has power. I’ve tried restarting my router. Nothing seems to work.

  • Hi Rust,

Greetings and welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you for bringing this to our attention and would be more than glad to assist you and resolve the issue you're having. Have you tried connecting your Roku streaming device to a different HDMI port of your TV? In addition, have you tried performing a factory resetting your Roku device? To do this, locate the Reset button, and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.

Please keep us posted on what you find out.

    All the best,
    Kash

Probably needs a reset. Turn off all your devices first. Then unplug your Roku and/or your TV, and unplug your internet for (2) TWO minutes. Plug back in then bring your Internet back up fully, Then plug in your TV then Roku. These devices need a refresh when the memory gets full. I do my internet, weekly and my Roku Express 4K+ a couple of times a week. This will not delete your settings. It is unnecessary to reinstall.  Your settings will keep in your online Roku account.

Hi, thank you for the response! I have a Roku Express 4k+. I encountered the issue for the first time about 10 days ago. Nothing has changed in terms of connections, hardware, internet, etc. I have tried the following:

        • Disconnecting the Roku from the wall to force restart
        • Also disconnecting the power cable from the device to force restart
        • Pressing the reset button while connected - nothing happens
        • Trying out various HDMI outlets on the same LG TV (other devices work normally - Sonos soundbar and HD antenna are connected)
        • I have tried 2 different HDMI cables - same result
        • Tested the Roku device on another TV - I had the same issue
        • The remote works fine with other Roku devices
        • Everything results in the Roku start-up screen with the bouncing letters and then it says "no signal" as if nothing was connected to the TV.

What else can I try? Or is the device dead?

        Thanks,

So, mine says Roku and makes the loading sound. It says the 720 and then goes blank saying no input found. When I press and hold the rest button nothing happens. I have held it down for close to 30 seconds. If I pull the power and plug it back in. I get the same Roku load screen. If I press the reset button again on the back of the express 4k+ the load screen goes away but the device does not reset.

      Any other ideas?
