Roku is upping the ante on this nonsense. I just received the following e-mail from them:
"We wanted to let you know that we have made changes to our Dispute Resolution Terms, which describe how you can resolve disputes with Roku. We encourage you to read the updated Dispute Resolution Terms. By continuing to use our products or services, you are agreeing to these updated terms."
According to this, I DON'T even need to click OK to agree. I am still "agreeing" by simply watching my TV? I'm guessing this is occurs even though I'm only watching the Apple TV connected to my TCL Roku TV? This is some first-class BS!
Report it to the FTC, the Better Business Bureau, your state ATT General, Congressmen and women. Do not let these criminal companies get away with it by just complaining on their community board. Regulating these companies is the ONLY way to stop this mess and you won't get that without making your voice heard! People, you have a legitimate right to access your own television. Start fighting back or you'll forever be dealing with things like this one bricking your televisions!
It takes only 5 minutes to file a legitimate complaint against these companies misusing their powers to force you to accept their terms.
Write one, just one simple complaint and then copy/paste it into every avenue you can get the word out against these illegal practices. Take a stand! There is power in numbers! The more voices are lifted, the bigger chance we'll have to be heard!

I agree with all of the above but would add, remove all accounts that are processed through Roku along with your payment method.
I just finished my opt out letter which will be sent registered mail today.
My rough draft to my Senators and Congressional Representatives will be emailed later today. I am going to also send a copy to the FTC, BBB & State Att. General.
Roku Inc. is getting bombed for this heavy handed and arrogant tactic of dealing with its customer base. It is obvious that they wanted it to place a greater burden on the customer who elects to opt out than those without issue and elect to agree.
This could have easily been remedied by having the choice of "Agree" or "Opt Out" at the end of the notice.
Looks like some really poor legal advice and now Roku will pay the price.
