Roku box and remote keeps scrolling screen on rv

roku is scrolling non stop. I have unplugged it, reset it , change battery in the remote. When I reset and it has the pick language screen all it does is scroll fast. I'm not sure what to do next. It started acted up when I used my phone as a Roku remote.

please help

Since you've mentioned that you performed a reset, could you please clarify if it is a factory reset? Furthermore, kindly perform a system reboot on your Roku streaming device by navigating to your Home screen. Scroll and select Settings > System > Power (if this option is unavailable, proceed to the next step) > System restart. This process has been confirmed by other users to be the accurate resolution to their remote issues, so we'd like to recommend this. 

    If the your remote issue still occurs after performing those steps above, please inform us and we'll go from there. We'll be looking forward to your update!

  • Mine started doing this yesterday .. I went in to system reset and it’s working fine now

      I did all the suggested solutions numerous times. Nothing has worked. The remote is one of the new ones that you have to recharge. On a hunch i tried an older remote and it started working properly. Now what do i do with this high dollar remote that doesn’t work?

        You're doing a great job troubleshooting the issue. No worries! We will be more than happy to assist you further with your Roku remote problem. Please try to unplug both the Roku device and TV for 3 to 5 minutes, then replug them back again.
