Roku app unable to detect tv

I checked everything: same wifi network, app updated, tv updated, control by mobile apps enabled on my tv, reinstalled app, reset wifi, restarted tv, tried to connect manually. Still the app doesn't detect the tv. Can you come up with a solution ?

    For the devices on your network that DO connect, what channel number do they report they are using?

      I only have 1 device: the TV & it's not being detected by the app.

        Is the computer/tablet/phone you're using to enter these posts connected to your home network?  What channel does it say it's using?
