Roku 50” Select Series TV won’t connect to Airplay/Screen Mirror

My Roku 50” Select Series TV won’t connect to Airplay from my devices (iPhone & Macbook) and is unidentifiable. The majority of the time my Roku TV will not show up on my devices to Airplay or Screen Mirror to, and when it is identifiable it mostly fails to connect and I receive an error message on my devices that Airplay connection was unsuccessful. The TV is less than 6 mo old and it was connecting to AirPlay without any issues for some time when I first got the TV. However now the Roku Select Series TV rarely will even show up on any of my devices or connect. I’ve spent hours troubleshooting this issue by performing system restarts with both the Roku TV and devices in which I’m attempting to Airplay/Screen Mirroring from, turning Airplay on/off, switching passcode requirement prompts from “Every Time”/“First Time Only”/“Use Password Instead” etc. Both devices are connected to the same wireless network and running the latest software as well. Strangely, I had this same issue with the Roku Streaming Stick before I purchased my Roku TV- my devices were able to connect and Airplay to the Streaming Stick for awhile and then it suddenly stopped working just as my TV stopped and is doing now. I have no issues connecting and using Airplay on my other Roku TV with the same devices so I’m not sure why I’m experiencing these issues on the newer Roku TV when Airplay originally worked fine. I’m also unable to setup and use HomeKit on my iPhone 16 Pro for this TV anymore either. It should be mentioned that I am sometimes still able to successfully connect to Airplay or Screen mirror at random times but the success rate of these efforts are few and far between. Could you please provide some insight and hopefully a solution to this mess? It seems I’m not the only one dealing with the same issues as others have complained on the Roku Community forum. Below I’ve provided the necessary info pertaining to my TV that your team requested from another member for a similar issue.

    Hey, MattG91.

Thanks for sharing your device info! It looks like your Roku TV isn’t showing up for AirPlay or screen mirroring. Let’s try to resolve this.

Important: Make sure you have your WiFi credentials ready before resetting the network settings. Once you're ready, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote
    2. Go to Settings
    3. Select Advanced System settings
    4. Choose Network connection reset
    5. Select Reset connection

Once done, the Roku will restart then go back to Settings to reconnect your wireless network. Then, try AirPlay again, and your Roku TV should show up on the list.

Let us know how it goes. We’re here to help!

    Cheers,

Unfortunately this method did not work. I went through the steps you instructed me to by resetting my network connection and setting up my wireless network again but no luck. After continuously trying to let my device “search” for my Roku TV to airplay and screen mirror to, the tv did pop up one time. However, when I tried to connect it just kept spinning its wheels and finally received the error message that it was unable to connect.

Any other ideas to troubleshoot the AirPlay and screen mirroring issue?
