Yes i am using the cables that came with the stick and I got the free extender. It has been working for 5 years and it started this not connecting last week. I think my remote might also be shot because the volume and power button didn't work for a long while. By the way my model is a 3810x
Blackstargazer I had this EXACT issue last year (I too, have the Stick+ 3810). It went on for a couple of months until I replaced the WiFi extender cable ($20). I have remained connected since.
HOWEVER, because of the age of the Stick+ (and the problems I'm currently experiencing), I recommend you replace it with the 4K Stick.

If the WiFi receiver cable for the 3810 has gone bad your Roku will not be able to connect to your home network (required to access the internet) nor communicate with its remote.
Unfortunately the replacement wifi receiver cable for this model is no longer stocked by Roku, and the wifi receiver cable for later models is not compatible with your Roku.
