Roku® Voice Remote - RCAL7R RCAL7R 3 months old dead ?

My 3 months old Voice remote stopped functioning. New batteries, reset, reboot, repair does not solve issue.  Roku App on phone operates the Roku device fine, so clearly a voice remote issue. 

If it's a firmware issue, how to fix ? 

Any suggestions? TIA !

    Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? Did the voice remote come with the Roku device or did you purchase the remote separately?
