Resets required everytime I turn on the tv

Causes a complete reset of name and password including power cycling the stick every time I turn off the tv

    We understand you're having an issue with your Roku, which resets every time you turn on the TV.

    Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku streaming device? When did the issue pop up, and what troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    Power issue? Is your Roku Streaming Stick powered by an outlet instead of the TV? And make sure it's not powered by one of those energy-saving outlet strips that turns off with the TV. It's quite possible that if the Roku device is powered by anything other than an outlet, after shutting off the TV, the power is removed from the Roku Stick and causes this issue to occur. I wouldn't know why it would factory reset after unplugging it though unless it's in the middle of an automatic update and the shutoff disrupts the Roku device.
