Remote quit working followed all instructions here 3 times. Decided remote was dead. Bought new remote. Followed directions for pairing. Nothing. Doesn’t work. Should there at least be some light on remote to show it is trying to work? I’ve got nothing. Is this new remote no good also? Now what?
Your account indicates you have a Streaming Stick 3600. This $#@% forum doesn't do a good job of keeping your listed device(s) up to date (my list is several years out of date) -- is that still what you are using? And what new remote did you purchase?
Streaming Sticks can only be controlled by Roku Voice Remotes because these remotes connect via WiFi signals that can penetrate behind the TV where Streaming Sticks are normally used. Remotes that connect via line-of-sight IR (infrared) cannot be used with Streaming Sticks, so Roku non-Voice remotes, Roku TV remotes, or universal remotes that control via IR cannot be used with Streaming Sticks.
both remotes had a voice choice. Still no response.
Voice Remotes must be paired with the Roku unit you intend to control with it.
