Remove the big search box from Roku home screen

It seems like with a recent update, there's a big search box now on the Roku home screen. How do I remove it? I checked the settings and even the hidden settings, but didn't see an option to disable ...

    Hi everyone!

    Some users may see a Search Bar at the top of their home screen to improve navigation and content discovery and get you into your streaming content as soon as you turn on your TV. This feature is only displaying on a subset of devices at this time.

    It isn't possible to hide this Search Bar, but you can customize other parts of your left navigation column by going to Home > Settings > Home screen and taking a look at the options there.

    This is a great place to leave your feedback for the Home Screen Search Bar, and we'll ensure the product team sees it.

It isn't possible to hide this Search Bar, but you can customize other parts of your left navigation column by going to Home > Settings > Home screen and taking a look at the options there.

This is not a solution. The thread should be kept open or "won't fix" -- so that it's clear where Roku stands on this issue. 

Moreover, the response has nothing to do with the issue either. The Search menu option is completely separate issue than a search box showing on the UI. 

Been with Roku since the days it used to be just a Netflix box! Of late, I am getting really tired of all the monetization schemes I see on the UI to 'trick' me into doing things. Not a fan. If you want to make more money, be open like Amazon Kindle and ask me for $20 more to show no-ads and I'd gladly pay it to not deal with this nonsense.
