Remote turning Roku TV off and on with any button on remote

My remote was working fine earlier today. I have a TCL Roku TV and all of a sudden this afternoon remote only turn the TV on and off with every button on the remote. I've reset the TV, taking the bat...

    Please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

I'm having a similar problem with my remote for Roku onn. Evey button turns the TV off and on except for the power button which isn't working at all. I know it's a remote problem because my phone works fine as a remote when it lets me "wake" the TV. Any suggestions?

Yes!! So I was up late trying to figure why the remote was going crazy. I finally gave up but had to take the batteries out, otherwise, the red light in the front sensor kept flickering. I left the batteries out all night, and decided to give it another try, I put the batteries back in and worked perfectly normal. Maybe it worked as a reset? 🤷🏻‍♀️ But beats waiting for the roku ppl to reply weeks later (just to say, it’s not our problem, contact the tv ppl)  or ordering a new remote.
