I tried to re-pair my remote in hopes of getting the remote finder signal to stop. Nothing works. After 60 seconds it begins the remote finder signal again. I press any key, it stops. Then 60 seconds later is starts again. How to stop it?
Thanks for the post.

I am having the same problem. Roku 4k ultra setup. About a half hour into a show it pings like it's searching for the remote for about 1 ping per second for a minute or longer. It's not normal to need the remote in the middle in the show so I don't know why the Roku is prompting me to find it or hit a button to actually disrupt the show. I have two ultras bought at the same time, the other doesn't do this. Can you help me too?
Thanks, Jenny

I am having the same issue. The find remote feature won't stop. I have removed batteries and unplugged the device too.

Mine started tonight, Ultra model barely 6 weeks old. This is my 6th Roku device, and it may well be my last. I hate this remote so much I paired the device to my old Roku remote as soon as I learned that was an option. But now this one won't shut up even though I pushed a button and even after removing the batteries for 3 hours. As soon as I put them back in it starts again.

It's not the remote, it's the unit. Try resetting the roku menu (settings, advanced settings, factory reset)

Try fiddling with the side button on base. Or do what I did by lifting unit a few inches and dropping. A good rap fixed my annoying pings. I suspect a bad switch or cold solder joint is the real issue. My constant ping stopped after that.

How do i send you a private message? 2 days ago my remote started pinging and goes off every few seconds.

First my roku remote stopped turning on the roku device when i started tv. I was forced to turn it on manually. Then after several times of trying to pair it started working again gphowever that was also when the constant pinging started. I dont know what to do anymore. I tried all reccomendations to fix the pinging and the only way it stops is if my remote does not pair up to my tv. I had this for a year without any issues. It paired perfectly and no pinging. What has changed? Did you update something?

Like everyone else, our Roku remote has acted as if it is still receiving a ping.
