Purchased new remote in February.  Remote worked well and charged properly, but now will not charge at all. I’ve used different cords,  outlets and verified with another device that the outlet and the cords work properly but this remote still will not charge.  Disappointed. Should last more than eight months 😞   Anyone have any ideas? Anything else that has worked for others? I looked through posts on Roku community, but haven’t found an answer.

      Welcome, carol41

We understand you're having trouble charging your Roku remote, even after trying different cords. Could you share a few more details?

Does the remote show any sign of charging—like a blinking or solid light? In the meantime, we suggest using the Roku mobile app to control your device.

      Looking forward to your response!

The charging cord is very hard to get into the port on the remote. You have to manipulate it so the green light stays on. When I go to use it, which is at night, (plug it in in the morning) It says it is not charged. The roku  mobile app can control my T.V. but I need the remote for the ear buds to hear TV. I am hard of hearing.

Thank you for your time, Carol

  • Forgot to mention when I put the working batteries in the remote I can hear a slight buzzing sound and I tryed pressing a button and checking if I see a flash with my phone and there wasn't a response

      Hi lucas4

We understand your Roku remote has been acting up, and we'd like to take a closer look at it.

Could you confirm the model of your Roku device? When you mentioned checking for a flash with your phone, were you referring to the Roku mobile app?
