Remote no power or volume buttons on it

New remote came with Roku premiere has no power or volume buttons on it.  How am I to use the remote,?

    Remote has NO buttons for on/off, volume or mute.  How do I use this item?

      Phyl3, the power and volume buttons on a Roku remote, if present, are strictly for the TV.  Roku devices don't turn on/off.  Use your TV's remote to turn on the TV and switch it to the source/input that you've connected the Roku device to.
