Remote microphone not always working

I have a Roku Ultra and when I press the microphone button, sometimes it works fine but other times is does not even recognize that I am asking for something.  I know that I need to keep the microphone button pressed in while I am asking for something.

Is there something wrong with my unit or is there some other thing I must do prior to pressing the button

    Thanks for the comment. 

    I "chatted" with Roku earlier today and after going through some tests and resets, Roku came to the conclusion that there is a problem with my remote and they are sending me a new remote since I am within the warranty period

    Usually performing a System Restart will resolve this issue.

    Settings/System/Power/System Restart

    ----

    Happens occasionally to me too.  Just beeps/bongs back saying it can't understand or doesn't respond at all.
