Thanks for reaching out! It seems like you have a remote that might not have enough of power to pair.
You can try putting in some fresh batteries and then try again to see if you see the green light which indicates that the remote is ready to pair.

Still not working not pairing, new batteries, unplugged replug, so I used a different remote and it works. So is there a certain amount of time that renders the remote to not work?

Hi Carly, I’m having the same issue like this person. I’ve replaced the batteries with new ones and same result. I think I purchased this at Target around 2020. It is a Roku hdmi stick and remote. I’ll have to get you the model number of the remote. Thx Nate
