Remote flashing mute on TV

I know I’ve seen this topic brought up before. I tried all that was suggested. Seeing as how I have multiple Roku’s and HDMI cords I even played musical chairs. I know that the issue is isolated to the remote. But within it, I can have the remove right up to the tv/ Roku and have no flashing mute signal. The sound is perfect and normal. But as I began to step away from the tv/ Roku the flashing sound and icon for mute appeared again. For far too long I was doing a going back and forth with the remote. Finally I just wanted to not have the remote synced to the Roku anymore, but even that isn’t a possibility. Whenever I try to hit the buttons to do so, the Roku immediately begins pairing with the remote, and the flashing sound begins again.
I have the Roku Pro (ultimate?), the one with the back lite. So it’s not that old, not even a year old. If it is, then it’s just hit that mark. Far too new to have these sort of malfunctions. I’d like to say they are the first. But I’ve had where I’ve pointed at the Roku and had where the receiving was not triggered. It would take me having to put it on the charger for it to kick in and begin syncing with the Roku/ tv and do the functions being hit. But this issue with the flashing volume, this is a first. And it’s the worst, and by far the most annoying because it’s hindering me being able to watch anything. I was able to shortcut it with the tv remote to unmute, but even this is not able to interfere anymore.
Anyone have experience to help me with this? I appreciate the responses.
