Remote doesn't work with any other batteries

Roku remotes have always been a pain in the ass to pair and use. I got this Roku 4k around October 2024, and the remote stopped working last night. I've been through all the forums and Reddit **bleep** and non of it has helped. I've tried different AA batteries and non worked until I put the original roku batteries it came with back in... it definitely is not solving the problem but it made it so I can still use the remote although it glitches now. In the remote settings it says the battery is at 27% but it has said 16% and 24% before, it just keeps fluctuating. I am so sick of Roku remotes being like this. And I am not going out to buy Roku brand batteries. PLEASE FIX THIS. Because I'm about on my last straw with Roku remotes. Thanks ~

    Ijustwantanswer​ When you say Roku 4K which specific model are you referring to since my understanding is that ALL current models are 4K. I have the Roku Ultra 4800x and with voice  remote that uses AA batteries. I use affordable Amazon Powermax and they last a long time.

    That's weird.  Have you checked the voltage on the non-working batteries?  Do they seem to fit just as tightly compared to the ones that work?  Of course, you've tripled checked the orientation I assume.
