Did the stick come with a USB cable with a "bump" in it? If so, are you using that cable? Those cables are known to go bad and it's not unusual to get a bad one out of the box. It may be easier to just return the whole thing if that's the case.

Not that I see, no kinks or bumps on the cord.

Sorry, but it won't work without the original usb cable with bump, like this one:

That's if you have the 3820 or 3821 Roku 4k Stick. If you have the 3810 stick+ then you need this one:
