Remote buttons don't work

Right arrow on my remote stopped working, instead it made the focus scroll up and down.  Then trying to reset it by information I saw on this site, now most buttons don't work.  I have read this is a known issue.  I've had the Roku streaming stick less than 6 months, not happy.
