Remote Battery Indicator & Voice Waiver

About 2 weeks ago, my Roku Ultra 2022 4K/HDR/Dolby Vision Streaming Device and Roku Voice Remote Pro with Rechargeable Battery, Hands-Free Voice Controls asked for a waiver with regards to the voice controls (e.g. the device will listen when people are speaking in the room).  Every since that time, nothing works.  The battery life indicator appears every 10 seconds (100% power) and when that occurs, the buttons will freeze and no work until the indicator goes away.  I bought this 3 months ago.  Is there a fix?  What is the return policy for these devices?  It basically doesn't work at this point.

    Hi! JohnDoe6,

Thank you for reaching out to the Roku Community!

We appreciate your reporting the problem with your Roku Voice remote pro. We're looking into this issue immediately.

We have a few troubleshooting steps to reset your remote that will update your remote and allow you to use all the remote features as intended.

    • To reset your remote, please follow the steps below: With your Roku device turned on, press and hold the pairing button on the back of your remote for at least 20 seconds.
    • Your remote will reboot and connect to your Roku device.
    • Check that the hands-free is 'on' by ensuring the slider switch on the side of the remote is green.
    • Test by saying, "Hey Roku, what time is it?", Your Roku should respond with an on-screen message.

We recommend restarting the system by navigating to Settings > System > Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step. Select System Restart.

    Let's see how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Arjiemar
