How do I register tv that was gifted to me and I don’t possess the proof of sale hence the receipt

I don't think you need any form of proof. When the TV contacts the Roku servers, it registers itself and gives you information to create a Roku account.
If the TV was used, you need to do a factory reset so it can start from scratch.
