How though is the question?
- JenkisNewbie
I used to be able to cast and screen mirror from my phone and now it wont. I want to start by saying the following:
Yes I've connected both devices to the same internet
Yes both devices have been reset
Yes both devices are up to date
Yes I've made sure my screen mirroring setting is on, on my roku
Yes ive switched between always allow and prompt settings
Yes my google home app is up to date
Yes my roku app is up to date and connected to my roku device
I've even signed in and out of roku app( and installed and uninstalled)
I've even factory reset my roku
Now, if you (the roku developer/ forum moderator) cannot tell me anything more that what ive already done please do not bother replying. I'm sick and tired of seeing this issue be brought up many times on spereate forums and no one have an answer. And these aren't isolated incedints. Me and many other cannot screen mirror or cast to our roku device. With the exception of the youtbe app. I'm tired of forum moderators not even reading our issues. This is a simple fix that your company can fix but refuses to adress and I just want some sort of acknowledgement toward the growing issue

I having the same problem, it's not my smartphone because I have another Roku Tv (Aoc) that works normaly... But this one was mirroring just a few days ago and now it doesn't work anymore
I try to connect by choosing the smart tv on my phone but the Tv doesn't respond (yes I am using the same wifi, and tried restarting them)

I'm Katia, and ma having the very same issue. I used to connect from two different Xiaomi on My Semp Roku TV. Just about today, it stoped working totally.
It still shows (on - with the viewing from the phones - "screen mirroring - as its function is called on Xiaomi Phones - 9S and a Poco X3 Pro, both with MIUI 13) on both smartphones that I used to screen mirroring, but it do never succeed, just keep rolling, disappear from "screen mirroring 'end points'", and if I do try again, keeps going on that way every single time.
I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting (about security on any way: "prompt, alaways permit, blocked devices - there was none, Device connect - on the advanced tab, it was on and I did turn that off and on once to certifiy).
Still on, after all that, I did just not the "Factory Reset" from the OS way, but also the "Physical Reset Button". Nothing has worked out.
Here are my Semp Roku Tv Data, so I hope that you guys, may have a hand on helping me here also!
Sincerely regards, and... Thank on advance!

Add me to the list. My previous Roku tv had no issue with casting/mirroring. My new one seems to have a problem. I can't connect from android phone, nor from pc (win 10). All devices see the tv but when I try to connect they timeout or display an error ("Couldn't connect"). I've spent 90min going through every single solution shown online. Rebooted everything. Checked for updates - all up to date. Removed from windows device list. etc Nothing has worked

RokuJohnB can I please also have assistance in this. I’ve been working on reading every response on multiple posts to get a response and been trying for hours (soft reset, factory reset, flipped every mode in all settings, checked wifi, etc) and I give up. I need you all to please just help me get back to this. I used to be able to screen mirror and airplay from my iPhone/laptop as well as use the Roku app as a remote. I now can’t do any of those things.

Hi Autumn_23,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We noticed in your post that you were having trouble with Airplay on your Roku TV when you moved into your new apartment. We'd be happy to assist you with this concern.
We recommend you try the following the details below:
- Are your Roku device and Apple device connected to the same wireless network?
You can view the network configuration of your devices in the settings menu. On your Roku device, go to Settings > Network > About. If it is not connected to the same network as your Apple device, learn how you can resolve connectivity issues. - Has AirPlay been turned off on your Roku device?
Go to Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit and make sure AirPlay is set to On.
For more details, please visit our Roku Support article: How to use AirPlay and HomeKit with your Roku streaming device
Please let us know if the issue persists. We would be more than willing to assist.
Regards,
Riamie- Autumn_23Reel Rookie
