RC498 remote missing option to control sound bar.

Hello I have a voice remote model RC498 that has successfully paired with my Phillips C609X Roku TV, however within the settings under Remotes and Devices there is only information about the connected remote and no option to program for sound bar control.

 

Without suggesting a factory reset please advise on how to program this remote to control the sound bar.

    Through the Roku tv settings the only Soundbars you can pair to the Roku tv is Roku Soundbars and Streambars. Also, Roku ready Soundbars from the likes of TCL or Onn. And you will be controlling them by Wifi not IR. Roku remotes only control tv's and Roku Audio devices. 

    There is secret menu to switch from TV IR to AVR/Soundbar IR, there's no guaranteed your brand will work. Using the Roku remote:

      Thank you for your response, however I am more interested in the IR programming capabilities of the RC498 remote.

      When using the RC498 remote with the Roku Ultra LT model 4662X I am given the option to program the remote to control my sound bar not through the CEC method but rather an IR solution.

      However it appears this functionality is missing from the C609X Roku TV.

      Is there a chance this feature could be added to the C609X Roku TV when using the RC498 voice remote?
