Problems with my Sony Smart TV and Roku remote

My microphone doesn't work on my Bravia. It is definitely a Roku problem and they should have an update these known issues

  • Thanks for keeping me posted, Ckelle

To resolve the issue, I recommend you re-activate your Roku device using a new email address created in your current region.

This should resolve the microphone issue you are currently experiencing.

Before you can re-activate your Roku device, you need to perform a factory reset. After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device, and will be ready for you to complete the following:

    1. Perform the Guided Setup and activation process
    2. Sign in to streaming channels that require a username and password
    3. Create a 4-digit PIN and configure parental control settings
    4. Perform a broadcast television channel scan (if you have a Roku TV with an HDTV antenna connected)

Note: Use your new email address created in your current location.

Once the steps have been performed, you should be able to use the microphone feature.

Keep us posted on how this works.

    Thanks,
    The Roku Community Team.

        Hi, Ckelle

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.

I understand your concern about the voice command feature on your Roku remote.

Please note that this feature will be unavailable if your Roku device has been activated outside of the supported region.

If you activated your Roku device within the supported region, you may need to reactivate it using an email address that was created in your current region.

        Keep us posted.

        Thanks,
        The Roku Community Team.
