Problem with remote and tv volume control

I have a roku 4k stick connected to a lg oled tv. Lately at times the volume controls do not work the volume on the tv. I have installed new batteries. The weird thing is that if I raise or lower the volume with the tv's remote and then try the roku remote, it works. Anyone else seen anything like this. Thanks

    Aside from changing the batteries of the remote, what other troubleshooting have you done? Did you already attempt to re-pair the remote and see if it helps?
