Premiere remote stopped working right in the middle of navigating the menu

Too many people with similar issues for it to all be hardware failures. My Premiere remote stopped working right in the middle of navigating the menu and no amount of fresh batteries or resets worked, in fact it won't even pair after factory reset so now it's literally a useless brick. Roku's software went downhill this year, first time I've seen a true decline. Don't think they're going in the right direction tbh.
