I see your point on packaging. You do know the USB port must supply enough power for the ROKU? 1 amp is suggested. Some USB ports are only .5 amps, .5 amps can cause unpredictable operation of a ROKU. Not criticizing you telling you just in case, you are not aware of this.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. I’m running it off a USB port on my TV, and everything’s working fine, but that’s good to know if anything goes weird in the future.
I get that including a plug or not is a tricky product decision, and you’ve given a good case for keeping one 😀
The EU plug and the rest of the packaging is pure waste though, much of it destined for landfill.
