phone remote not allowing search feature

hi, i have the up to date official remote app on my phone. i often use it to search titles to see where they’re streaming as i use a lot of different platforms. for the last couple of weeks everytime i try to do this, the app begins endlessly loading when i select the title im looking for and inevitably crashes. i’ve uninstalled the app and that did not fix it. please advise.
