Phillips Roku TV 6573 series picture size issue

My brother just bought a 32" Phillips Roku TV.  He is using a local cable company.  He does not have the internet.  When he turns the TV on in the morning, the picture shows up as a small box in the middle of the screen.  Using the remote under settings he noticed an "auto" box which he unchecked and then selected "Zoom". The picture went to full screen and he was happy. Alas, it keeps going back to the small box in the middle of the screen after he shuts the TV off for the night and turns it back on in the morning.

Can anyone help this poor guy get the TV where it is full screen all the time?  I sure would appreciate any help.

  • Hi Randy67,

We are happy to have you here in the Roku Community!

I get that your brother is having an issue with the Philips Roku TV, which won't automatically show the full screen of his external device when you turn it on. I would be glad to give you further details about this.

This could be caused by the hardware of your Philips Roku TV. I highly suggest contacting the Philips TV manufacturer directly. You can reach them here: Philips TV Support.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

    Thanks,
    Riamie

This TV is brand new.  Are you saying there could be a hardware issue in a brand new TV?

        Hi Randy67,

        Thanks for the response.

We highly recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of your Philips TV or contacting the store from which you purchased the Philips Roku TV to inquire about the possibility of receiving a replacement. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

        Thank you for your understanding.

        Regards,
        Riamie
