Pc connecting to tv times out after a couple seconds

I have my Alienware R14 connected to my Hisense tv but for some reason it has issues picking up the signal or will cut out randomly after a couple seconds of no interactions. How can I fix this? I have gone into every setting for the tv and pc but have not been able to figure out what is causing it.
