onn. Roku TV will not wireless connect to my onn. bluetooth speaker

I have an onn. Roku TV and an onn. bluetooth speaker.  I thought they would just pair when I watched tv but I can only pair them by using my Roku remote app on my phone.  This ties up my phone which I can't have so I'm wondering if there is an answer to getting my devices to pair wireless.

    Roku TVs only support Roku wireless speakers (which aren't Bluetooth).
