Onn Roku tv will not stay on. It keeps powering itself off every few seconds

Hi Eunice. I am having the same issue. I have only tried on YouTube and Netflix, but on each the TV shuts down after a few minutes.

    Hi Terrel_B,

Greetings and welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about this. May we ask if this issue is happening to YouTube and Netflix or throughout the Roku channel? Additionally, when did you first notice this issue start to occur?

    Please keep us posted.

    All the best,
    Kash

Hi Takashi. I purchased my TV less than a week ago, so it has never worked properly. There was 4 days of looping updates. Then 5th day I plugged it back in to try some of things I found on the internet, but it just opened properly. I was then able to add all my information and channels. FYI, I am autistic so I might not get much jargon. Like is the Roku channel the home screen and settings screens? I seem to be able to stay up there. Just the channels mentioned and amazon prime.

        Terrel_B,

        Thanks for the update!

Can you please specify the model of this Roku TV? Is this an ONN, TCL, Hisense, etc? Have you tried connecting it to another outlet and see if that helps?

We would also recommend to try this Settings->System->Power->Auto power savings. If you turn off/uncheck the option, then try again to see if there are any differences.

        Thanks,

        Rey
