Onn Roku TV Blank Screen when Powered on

I recently got an older model 55" onn roku tv, and it turns on, however the screen displays nothing. I know the backlight works, but I'm having trouble finding any other possible problems/fixes, hope one of you can help. Thanks.

  • Hi, WolfBlin

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your Onn Roku TV screen display is having issues, and I'm here to assist you in getting the right support.

It's best to contact Onn's support directly. Their support team can provide you with a workaround or a resolution since Roku TV manufacturers provide direct support with their TV models.

To contact them, refer to Onn Roku TV Support

Hope this will be addressed soon.

    Thanks,

  • Point taken and fair enough, but to some, it reads like "not our problem, here's useless advice to get you out of here."

That's the only way they can mark an answer.  I just read it as, "as far as Roku is concerned, this thread is closed".  :-)

  • Definitely agree with the others here.  Sounds like a hardware failure and probably isn't worth fixing.  You can try Onn support, but most likely you won't get much of an answer in regard to fixing the TV.  You might be able to find replacement control boards for the TV, but again, probably not worth fixing.  Budget level TVs, such as ONN, have parts that are not great quality and tend not to last, hence is why they are cheap price wise.

They said it's older. ONN doesn't provide customer support for older TV's, their warranty is limited.

Hilarious marking this as a solution, it's not.

  • Any such hardware failure with ONN isn't worth repairing.

Economically, that is. More costly for the parts than the TV is worth.

Very rare would software/firmware cause such an issue, likely hardware failure.
