Roku 4k ultra streaming stick
Only YouTube tells me “no connection - exit to setup”
factory reset performed
modem reset performed
app removed and reinstalled
channel cache cleared
YouTube works in my house on all of my other Roku devices
system is up to date
please advise

Solution: Get an nvidia shield that's supported by competent developers because Roku's software has gone completely down the drain and all the employees will do is tell you to reset everything or that they're "passing it on to their team" except the team doesn't exist.
Roku's fault, and possibilities as to why:
Roku firmware bug affecting app networking
Corrupted storage location for YouTube app cache or data
Certificate validation failure inside Roku OS
Hardcoded app region lock or API endpoint change
Roku OS mishandling app permissions or sockets after update
I don’t know that I’m tech savvy enough to figure this one out. What is an Nvidia shield?
I was just being smart and basically saying Roku won't fix it, or they'll take eternity to do it, so a streaming device with equal or better capabilities like an nvidia shield is about the only option in the meantime.
Don't bother looking into it unless you're at your end with Roku like I am, currently dealing with 6 issues.
