One remote controls audio, the other doesn't!

setup:

TV not used for sound,  TV not HDMI CEC compatible.

Roku Ultra 4640x  Connected to a Pioneer vsx-lx305 AV Receiver : connected to TV.  All via HDMI cables.

2 remotes:

Remote 1:  original remote RC117 controls volume to the receiver. via HDMI CEC  WORKS PERFECT.

Remote 2: RC786 Roku Voice Remote from a Roku® Streaming Stick® 4K does not work.

What I need is a remote that functions exactly like the RC117 since my dog chewed on the one I have. Which remote will do this?

Help would be appreciated.

    a week and no response from roku at all..  Interesting take on customer service.

      Your original Ultra 4640 remote didn't have tv IR on board, what it has is Roku CEC volume commands preset, that can't be changed. Your new remote only has tv IR on board, when programmed via on screen menu. There is secret menu to switch from IR to CEC, we can't post it. CEC doesn't care if it's a TV or AVR, or what brand it is, only that the device accepts CEC signals.
