Numerous Remote failure issues

I have had 3 remotes replaced within a year.  Why do Roku remotes keep failing.  I have the voice remote pro.  I also am tired of replacing remotes.  Luckiily I did purchase a backup and now have been forced to use it my last Roku replaced remote just stopped working.  It was fully charged but stopped working totally. 

Please help
