No Option to Disable Wi-fi Direct w/ In Advanced System Settings

I want to disable DIRECT-roku Wi-fi. I looked up instructions on how to disable w/ in (streaming stick) settings and found different sites giving the same directive: Settings>System>Advanced system settings>Device Connect (& the option to disable Wi-fi direct). Problem for me - there is no Device Connect w/ in my Advanced System Settings. Only 4 options listed within Adv. System Settings:

  • Factory Reset
  • Network Connection Reset
  • Control by Mobile Apps
  • Advanced Display Settings.

My Roku is running the latest software version 14.1.4. Am I missing something? Did setting options change? Any input on disabling Wi-fi Direct is very much appreciated!

    If you are using a Streaming Stick model (like you indicate below), then you cannot disable wifi-direct because it is needed for the RF Remote to connect to and communicate with your device. (hence, no option available in settings).

    You can disable wifi-direct on the RokuTVs and Roku streaming players because they can respond to IR commands so can use an IR remote in place of the RF remote.
