No more headphone jack on Roku Ultra's voice remote pro 2

Very disappointed that the remote included with the top-of-the-line Roku player does NOT have a headphone jack. Being able to plug headphones directly into the remote is a key feature that we use everyday to maintain sanity in our household. So now I'm supposed to pay another $30 to get a remote that still has the headphone jack. Bad move, Roku.

No, I don't want to have to use an app on my phone to use headphones!

  • I'm lucky: my cheap Roku TV came with the old remote that has a headphone jack. I LOVE IT!

NO, I DO NOT WANT TO USE THE MOBILE APP WITH MY PHONE! Making that suggestion to me will just prove that nobody's reading these posts!

My only suggestion about this remote would be to offer it in COLORS so that it would stand out from all of the other black remotes on my coffee table!

    UP WITH HEADPHONE JACKS!

  • I really wanted the new remote, but the headphone feature is a must have for me... NO! I do not want blue tooth head set.

I would much prefer having to have batteries than this... Very undesired result. I want to older version of the pro, please... tell me where I can order...

  • I'm with you. I hate not having the headphone jack. I looked far and wide to find earbuds that are comfortable for my apparently ridiculously small ears, and finding out that I have to connect to Bluetooth and wear uncomfortable Bluetooth earbuds for hours, while my boyfriend sleeps, makes me like this a lot less. I don't care how slim it is, and it was worth the shorter battery life for me. Options are nice, and I don't see why Roku could not have given both.

Hey sunnyco, thanks for the feedback! πŸ™Œ

In the meantime, try using the Roku mobile app in Headphone Mode for a more personal audio experience:

      1. Open the Roku app
      2. Tap "Remote"
      3. Tap "Headphone" 🎧
      4. Adjust the volume and enjoy your content in peace!

To turn it off, just tap "Headphone" again.

Your feedback is important to us, and we're always here to help! Thanks again! πŸ’¬πŸ˜Š

I would much rather have batteries AND the headphone jack. Why does a remote need to be thinner? It’s not like anyone is going to be carrying it around everywhere like a phone
