Hi RokuHaz-M, Thank you for responding to my post. Your answer is appreciated yet it is not yet fully addressing my question. My question was:

Like if I say "Launch YouTube" into the voice remote and it goes to the YouTube channel, is there a way to direct the voice remote to dictate into the search bar itself so I can put in a specific YouTube video I may want to see?>> (relatedly, there are search bars in Amazon Prime, Netflix, too that I would love to apply that to).
Right now, in order to search for programs or videos on YouTube, Amazon Prime or Netflix, I have to go to the search bar and type in what I want to search letter by letter by letter. It is time consuming. It would be great if it were an option with the voice remote to get to the search bar and then speak what I want to search for instead of typing letter by letter and then search.
Can you follow up and let me know if there is a way to use the voice remote in that way?

I understand your point. If you have a Roku voice remote, you can easily search for a specific title using the voice feature on the search bar inside the YouTube app. There's no need to type each letter individually. Just press and hold the voice button to search while you are on the search bar. Here’s a photo to help you identify if you have a Roku voice remote.
If you don't have the Roku Voice Remote, you can use the Roku mobile app to search for specific titles using your phone's keyboard. Here's the link to download the app! If you have further questions, just let me know!

Hi there, I tried it first when I was in the YouTube search mode and used the voice command and it took me back to a different page with the topic I was asking about. So, I went back to the YouTube search mode and said "Search YouTube for and mentioned the subject" and it worked to specify "search YouTube" before mentioning the topic!

Hi how long should the Voice Remote Pro (RC1071) last between charges? The brochure states 2 to 3 months. What is that estimate based on, that is, how many hours of use?
The Voice Remote Pro 2nd edition brochure states up to 3 months on a single charge. How many hours of use did they base that on? Someone must know the answer.Thanks
I can only provide how it works in my use case. Until school got out last month, my grandson would be here every morning and using my Roku with the 2nd edition remote. He has a touch of ADHD, and is constantly pausing, rewinding and watching many things over and over. Even though his usage was probably only about an hour a day for 5 days a week, his constant remote use would probably be closer to a "normal" user using the remote for 5-6 hours per day. I would recharge the battery after about 3 months, even though it was only down to about 40%. I just checked its battery. It's probably been close to two months since I charged it, and it's currently at 81%.
