New Roku express keeps updating and resetting not letting me past the setup

Just bought a Roku express. It won't let me past the setup stage. I connect to wifi then it says:  "UPDATE AVAILABLEYour Roku will restart once the update is finished." Then it restarts and it goes through the same process all over again....and again, and again, and again, and again....and again, and again, and again. Please help!!

    If it's an Express that didn't come with a power adapter make sure the one you're using is adequate.  It should be able to supply at least 1 Amp and not all TVs or USB adapters can do that.  Another thing to try is to connect to your phone's hotspot if possible just to get through the initial setup.
